NBC Partnerships and Oversight
Nazarene Bible College pledges administrative support to the ministries implementing the CBMT program. NBC will be responsible for crucial duties like approving the Church, Ministry, or District to participate in the CBMT program based on the requirements on the application form, approving the on-site training director, mentors, and coaches, and providing ongoing supervision of the on-site training director, mentors, and coaches through quarterly updates and timely support.
NBC will also supply the course syllabi and other related materials necessary for training and work with the ministry to provide ongoing oversight of the ministry participants until the students in the program complete the curriculum.
In addition, NBC will provide the following:
- Access to dCourseWeb, NBC's learning management system, to support the ministry and all program participants
- Orientation to the learning management system (LMS) for all the program administrators, coaches, and students
- Administrative support to the ministry as stipulated in the Memorandum of Understanding
When a Jurisdictional Body (District) is serving as the CBMT program provider in partnership with NBC, support for the program and its students will include the elements listed above.
At Nazarene Bible College, our mission is to train and equip future ministry leaders with the Biblical knowledge and practical skills they will need to fulfill the Great Commission. If you lead a healthy, forward-looking ministry, you can partner with NBC to provide the CBMT program.
District Collaboration
Beginning and periodically throughout the program: Upon approval, the District will show support for the church and NBC by doing the following
Ordination
Acknowledging that the CBMT program and the foundational knowledge courses provided by NBC through the online Ministry Preparation program constitute a validated Course of Study program. Completing this program is an educational requirement for ordination in the Church of the Nazarene.
Supporting the Students
Reviewing the annual CBMT training students' progress and supporting the students enrolled in the program as they work towards completing the additional coursework in the Ministry Preparation Program (MPP) so they can fulfill the educational requirements for ordination in the Church of the Nazarene.
Completion Requirements
Students who complete the CBMT program, but fail to complete the foundational courses offered through NBC's Ministry Preparation Program will not have completed a validated Course of Study program. As such, they cannot be ordained in the Church of the Nazarene.
Improve Learning
Working together with NBC and the church or ministry to improve student learning. This includes providing the necessary resources for the smooth running of the program.
